Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Rampside

Do you charge for travel?

There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed quote based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item with your LA13 postcode.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Rampside.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Rampside

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What a repair cannot fix

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

What affects the price in Rampside

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. These are the things that affect it:

  • How many areas need work
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The colour and finish to match

Compared with replacing, repairing typically costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

How to get a fixed quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • Where you are, by postcode

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Rampside?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

What your quote should include

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Aftercare advice
  • How your room will be protected
  • What preparation is included

10 questions to ask before booking

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you’re not left guessing. On site, it takes a day or two, depending on how many items in most cases. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How to get a price
