Coloured bath resurfacing in Tebay, done in place
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Typical jobs include selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.
All our work comes with our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

FAQs for Tebay
Do you charge for travel?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Do you cover Tebay?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Tebay and the rest of Cumbria. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
Does someone need to be in?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- The material
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The type of damage
- The size and number of damaged areas
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Send pictures for a quote
Two or three clear pictures are typically enough. Try to include:
- Details of any past repairs
- A wider photo showing the whole suite
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Any details about the material
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.
What you get with us

DIY repairs versus a professional job
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
When to call us in Tebay
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
Comparing quotes
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- How changes to the job are handled
- How soon you can use it again
- Whether they match the colour on site
What we cannot put right
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured basins
How the visit works
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
How to prepare
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
Getting a price
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We will say right away if a repair is the right fix.
