For landlords and businesses

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Torry use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Torry

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

Why book with us

  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • No extra charge for your area

Read our prices page or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

What we do, step by step

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It typically takes one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Torry. What changes the price is:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

You can usually get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The material, if you know it
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Common problems we fix in Torry

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Before booking anyone

  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
  • How long it needs to cure
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers

Choosing a repair company

When we’d advise against a repair

Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

Common questions in Torry

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Do the materials smell?

Expect a mild smell while we are working.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.

How do I book?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
