About our coloured bath resurfacing in Warcop

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Cumbria. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

Why us?

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • No need to remove anything
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • A fixed quote before you book

The process

Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the following day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Make sure the area is dry

DIY repairs versus a professional job

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • Access to the area
  • How many areas need work
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What the surface is made of

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

How to get a fixed price

Phone photos are fine. Just ensure we can see:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Any details about the material

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Cumbria and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Warcop: your questions answered

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, we frequently do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

What happens next?

We come back with a fixed price. You’re under no obligation.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • If travel is included in the price
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match

What we cannot put right

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
