Coloured bath resurfacing near Well Hill

Coloured bath resurfacing in Well Hill without replacing anything

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, we can typically put it right, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins alike.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Well Hill: your questions answered

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Well Hill?

Prices start from £350. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787.

Can you quote from pictures?

Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Are there extra charges for Well Hill?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Can tenants book a repair?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

What we do, step by step

Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow one to two days for a full suite. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Open a window if you can

Ask for a price

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • What the surface is made of
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Quotes from your pictures

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

To get a price, send a couple of pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

What we’re called out for in Well Hill

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

Before booking anyone

  • Who turns up on the day
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers

What we can’t put right

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Work for landlords and builders

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

For anyone letting property in or around Well Hill, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
