Winder: your questions answered
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Winder?
Resurfacing from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before booking.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
What happens if you find more damage?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.
Do you cover the whole of Cumbria?
Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Winder
A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We are often asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, across coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repairing versus replacing in Winder
Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

How the visit works
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we are doing. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. You can expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we will keep you posted as we go.
- The room is protected and ventilated.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
How to get a price
Most customers in Winder get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Related advice
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Resurfacing from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Winder. The price comes down to:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The material and finish
- Access to the area
- How many areas need work
A repair usually costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.
Send pictures for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Something in shot to show the size
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Coloured basins
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
