Wood floor repair near Angle

The process

Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We clean the damaged area.
  2. We fill dents, chips and gouges.
  3. The repair is levelled to the board.
  4. The colour and grain are recreated by hand.
  5. The repair is finished to match the floor’s sheen.

Before we arrive

  • Open a window if you can
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

When we would advise against a repair

We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Laminate swollen along the joints by water
  • Boards that have lifted or warped
  • Underfloor damage

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Laminate flooring
  • Engineered wood
  • Solid wood
  • Wood-effect vinyl (ask us)

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a board often means lifting boards to reach it, finding a board that matches and laying it all again. A repair works with the boards in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Angle questions

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Is there any odour?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

Do you come to Angle?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Angle. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Pembrokeshire.

How we price wood floor repair

Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:

  • What the surface is made of
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The colour and finish to match

We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Angle. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode

Most clients in Angle get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Pembrokeshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
