Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

Non-slip bath coating in Bermuda, done in place

It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. We regularly repair resurfaced baths, wet room floors (ask us) and acrylic baths, and people most frequently call us about safety for older or less mobile people and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Questions from Bermuda

Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?

Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

How much does non-slip bath coating cost in Bermuda?

The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

Will I see the coating?

Only slightly: the treated area looks slightly matt.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Is there any odour?

There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.

Signs you need non-slip bath coating in Bermuda

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth

Questions to ask before you book

  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • Who turns up on the day
  • What prep work is covered
  • When it can be used again

Choosing a repair company

Honest limits

A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Shower trays

Repairing versus replacing in Bermuda

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Most jobs done in one visit

See our pricing.

How the visit works

We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a few hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean and you’ll know when it can be used.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

How to get a price

Email us photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your CV10 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Advice

What affects the price in Bermuda

Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How much damage there is

Compared with replacing, repairing typically costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

How to get a fixed price

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A photo taken from further back
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

If you are in Bermuda and want a price, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
