Non-slip bath coating near Bullwood

Should you replace it?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why Bullwood clients choose us

  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Work done at your home or business

Non-slip bath coating in Bullwood, done in place

It suits older people, families and holiday lets. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. Common call-outs are for worn-out textured areas and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, on resurfaced baths, wet room floors (ask us) and enamelled baths.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will sort it. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What affects the price in Bullwood

There’s no area surcharge for Bullwood. What changes the price is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Access to the area
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Getting a price from pictures

Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. It helps if you send:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Any details about the material
  • A photo taken from further back

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

The process

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, usually overnight.

Before we arrive

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Getting a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

When we’d advise against a repair

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Acrylic baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Shower trays
