Non-slip bath coating near Chapel Stile

Landlord and trade work in Chapel Stile

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Non-slip bath coating in Chapel Stile, done in place

It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Whether it’s resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and worn-out textured areas, we can help.

Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Repairing versus replacing in Chapel Stile

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

The process

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, normally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Clear the area around the damage

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower tray, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

What affects the price in Chapel Stile

Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • The type of damage
  • The material
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Getting a price from pictures

You can take the photos on your phone. Make sure they show:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A photo taken from further back

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

When we’d advise against a repair

A repair is not right for every job, for example:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Acrylic baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
