- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet

How we handle non-slip bath coating in The Valley
It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. We are often asked to fix bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten and worn-out textured areas, across resurfaced baths, shower trays and acrylic baths.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Prices and what affects them
Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. What matters most is:
- The material and finish
- The type of damage
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Whether we combine several jobs
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Quotes from your photos
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- What it’s made of, if you know
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
Honest limits
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Resurfaced baths
- Enamelled baths
- Shower trays
- Acrylic baths
- Wet room floors (ask us)
The process
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow a morning or an afternoon. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
- Next we mask off the area.
- We apply the clear textured coating.
- We lift the masking for a clean edge.
- We leave it to cure, typically overnight.
Before we arrive
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
Getting a price
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath or shower tray, we can give you a fixed price the same day in most cases.
Related advice
Why repair rather than replace?
The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
