Our bath repair service in B92
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. You can typically use the bath the day after. Our technicians work on pressed steel enamel, roll-top & freestanding and cast iron enamel, and the jobs we see most are a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and a cracked acrylic bath.
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to two to three hours for most chips, including clearing up.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the day after.
What it costs in B92
Prices start from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for B92. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Honest limits
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
What we are called out for in B92
A cracked acrylic bath usually wasn’t supported properly. Legs that are not adjusted, a missing cradle or a soft floor let the bath move.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- Impact holes in acrylic
- A failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting
Looking after it afterwards
It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath, avoiding abrasives.
A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:
- Access to the area
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.
Quotes from your photos
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A picture taken from further back
- The material, if you know it
- Details of any past repairs
Most customers in B92 get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
B92 questions
Is there any odour?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Often, if there is access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Normally, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.
What do you need from me?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
You’ll get a fixed quote back, usually with dates to choose from. There’s no obligation to book.
