Bath repair at your home in B14
Repairing baths is what we do most. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. Common call-outs are for snagging damage from a refit and rusty patches near the plughole, on cast iron enamel, acrylic and whirlpool & spa baths.
You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It typically takes a few hours, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can typically use the bath the next day.
What you will pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.
Why book with us
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- Most jobs done in one visit

Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
Look after the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Small chips are quick to repair. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.
What affects the price in B14
Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job, from your pictures. The main factors are:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The material
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for B14. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A photo taken from further back
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
Most customers in B14 get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Repairing versus replacing
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair fixes just the damaged area in one visit.

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
