About our bath repair in Eastwick

A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. We work on pressed steel enamel, roll-top & freestanding and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people contact us are chips under the taps and rust by the waste and overflow.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Landlord and trade work in Eastwick

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Repair or replace in Eastwick?

A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

What bath repair costs

Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Eastwick. What changes the price is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send photos for a quote

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath
  • What it’s made of, if you know

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

Looking after it afterwards

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
  • Do not leave a fresh chip for long
  • Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale

For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath, avoiding abrasives.

Do not leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.

What we cannot put right

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Pressed steel enamel

What we do, step by step

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It usually takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Pressed steel

Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
