Bath repair across CT15: what to expect
A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site. We regularly repair whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding, and people most often call us about chips on the rim or sides and rusty patches near the plughole.
You don’t need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It normally takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- Once it has cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready to use.
What you’ll pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to CT15. The price comes down to:
- How much damage there is
- What the surface is made of
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How hard the colour is to match
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send pictures for a quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- The material, if you know it
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Details of any past repairs
- Natural light rather than flash
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
For landlords and businesses
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- A steel bath rusted through
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
How the damage happens
Most bath damage comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Snagging damage from a refit
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- A chip where the taps sit
Should you replace it?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. If the entire surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you.
Questions to ask before you book
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- How soon you can use it again
- What prep work is covered
- How to care for the finish
CT15: your questions answered
Will there be a smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work.
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes, we do this often. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. The rust is cut back to clean metal and sealed before we fill and finish it.
Are there extra charges for CT15?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
When can I have a bath again?
Most baths can be used the following day. We confirm the time before we leave.
