Bath repair at your home in G22
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can normally bathe again the next day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. Typical jobs include damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and chips under the taps, on cast iron enamel, acrylic and pressed steel enamel.
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a morning or an afternoon. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, usually the next day.
What you’ll pay
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
What you get with us
- Straight answers about what a repair can do
- Same prices wherever you are
- Everything repaired in place
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

What’s near Cowlairs
In Cowlairs, that means homes near St. Roch's Secondary School, Glasgow and Springburn Park. For rail, the closest station is Ashfield station, about 0.5 miles north-west of the centre. Further afield, we also cover the area around Heatherbank Museum of Social Work (1.1 miles south) and Oakbank Hospital (0.9 miles south-west). For a walk, there’s Lenzie Moss and Hogganfield Loch.
Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
Can I fix it myself?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to G22. The price depends on:
- How much damage there is
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- What the surface is made of
A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.
How to get a fixed price
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The material, if you know it
To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We’ll say straight away whether it can be repaired.
Signs you need bath repair
Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.
Look out for these signs:
- Damage beneath the taps
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A cracked acrylic bath
Landlords, agents and businesses in G22
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
G22 questions
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Frequently, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a photo.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
Can you redo an old repair?
Regularly. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
