Work for landlords and builders

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Bath repair in Parkhouse without replacing anything

Most bath damage, from chips and cracks to rust spots and holes, can be repaired with the bath left exactly where it is. Nothing is unplumbed, your tiles stay as they are, and the repaired area is colour-matched so it blends in. We’re frequently asked to fix chips under the taps and damage done while the bathroom was being fitted, on acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel.

Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee.

Looking after it afterwards

It’s all simple stuff:

  • Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Do not scrub with anything abrasive

Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.

Small chips are quick to repair. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so early repair saves time and money.

Why repair rather than replace?

Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. Generally it doesn’t: a proper repair gives it years more use, without the cost and upheaval of replacing it. Our bath repair starts from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why Parkhouse clients choose us

How we price bath repair

Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Access to the area
  • The material and finish
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your photos

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Email us a picture of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in Parkhouse, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

When to call us in Parkhouse

Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal will start to rust.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • A chip where the taps sit
  • A hole punched through by something heavy
  • A failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting
  • Snagging damage from a refit

Comparing quotes

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • How to look after the finish
  • How the colour is matched
  • What happens if they find more damage

10 questions to ask before you book

Different materials, different repairs

Pressed steel

Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Exposed steel rusts fast, particularly by the plughole, so repair chips early.

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.

Questions from Parkhouse

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?

Yes, we do this often. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.

Do you cover Parkhouse?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Parkhouse from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

Can you quote from photos?

In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Honest limits

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding

How the visit works

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours, depending on the damage, including clearing up.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
  5. The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let us know about parking or access

Ask for a price

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
