How bath repair works in GL7
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the following day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. Common call-outs are for damage beneath the taps and holes from dropped items, in whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a few hours. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
Pricing in GL7
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Landmarks near Cirencester
We visit homes around Church of the Holy Trinity, Cirencester Primary School and Cirencester Kingshill School, among other places. The nearest railway station is Kemble station, roughly 3.5 miles south-west of the centre. Other landmarks nearby include Corinium Museum (under half a mile north-west) and Cirencester Castle (less than half a mile north-west).
When a repair isn’t the answer
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, so it’s always worth repairing.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.
What we’re called out for in GL7
Acrylic baths that crack nearly always have a support problem. Loose legs, no proper cradle or a floor that gives let the bath move.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- A chip where the taps sit
- Holes from dropped items
- Chips caused by builders
Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
Work for landlords and builders
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
GL7: your questions answered
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Can tenants book a repair?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
Can you repair a failed DIY repair?
Yes, we do this frequently. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.
Will the price change on the day?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Do you work in GL7?
Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to GL7 from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
What does bath repair cost?
Repairs from £95. We give a fixed price from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item with your GL7 postcode.
