Bath repair at your home in L27
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can generally bathe again the next day. There is no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. We are frequently asked to fix an old repair that has yellowed or come loose and scratches you can feel with a fingernail, on whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and acrylic.
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a few hours, depending on the damage, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
What it costs in L27
Prices start from £95. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for L27. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Send pictures for a quote
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- One picture of the whole bath
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Do not leave a fresh chip for long
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
Look after the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
Do not leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
Should you replace it?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim normally crack when it comes out, a new panel is often needed, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. Repairing the damage avoids all of that.
What your quote should include
- Whether the price covers travel
- Whether they match the colour on site
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- How your room will be protected
L27 questions
How long does the repair take to cure?
Generally within a day, though it depends on what we have done.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Will the repair last?
A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
How do I book?
Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send photos.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
