Our bath repair service in PH7
We see every kind of bath damage: chips from dropped bottles, rust round the plughole, cracks in acrylic and holes from falling tools. Each is repaired in place. We’re frequently asked to fix scuffs and scratches in the surface and a kit repair that didn’t last, on cast iron enamel, acrylic and whirlpool & spa baths.
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Allow two to three hours for most chips. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
What you will pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
What you get with us
- Fixed prices from your photos
- One price list for the whole UK
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Most jobs done in one visit

Near you in Crieff
Our customers here include homes close to The Pretoria Public House, St Michael's Hall and Morrison's Academy and the streets around them. Can I fix it myself?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Repair or replace?
Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: taking out the old one, plumbing, tiling, a panel and redecorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit.
What your quote should include
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- What aftercare is recommended
- How long it needs to cure
- How changes to the job are handled
How the damage happens
Rust tends to begin where water collects, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.
These are the problems we’re asked about most:
- A chipped rim or side
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Deep scratches in acrylic
Aftercare tips
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Do not leave a fresh chip for long
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
What a repair cannot fix
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Questions from PH7
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Yes, we do this often. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.
Is my repair covered?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.
Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?
Most of the time. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so access behind the panel is important.
