About bath repair in PH1
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can generally bathe again the day after. There is no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. Our repair technicians work on acrylic, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and the jobs we see most are chips along the edge of the bath and rust by the waste and overflow.
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the next day.
What you will pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Why book with us

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Local landmarks in Perth
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to Milne Street, St John's Academy and Perth High School. Nearby too are Public House (0.6 miles east) and North Inch (0.8 miles east). The nearest railway station is Perth station, about 0.7 miles south-east of the centre. Further afield, we also cover the area around Murray Royal Hospital (1.2 miles east) and Balhousie Castle (0.6 miles north-east). For a walk, there is St Magdalene's Hill.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
For landlords and businesses
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
What affects the price in PH1
Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- What the surface is made of
- What kind of damage it is
- How much damage there is
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for PH1. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Quotes from your pictures
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.
Repair or replace?
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one normally involves a plumber, removing the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair deals only with the damage in one visit.
What your quote should include
- What preparation is included
- Aftercare advice
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
FAQs for PH1
Do you work in PH1?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to PH1. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Will the repair last?
A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and it’s guaranteed for a year. Gentle cleaning helps it last.
Can pets and children be at home?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Will the repair show?
The goal is a repair that blends in. How well it disappears depends on the condition of the rest of the bath, and we will tell you what to expect.
Do you charge for travel?
There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Normally, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
