Our bath repair service in W2
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Most baths can be used again the following day. We’re frequently asked to fix a chipped rim or side and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose, across acrylic, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel.
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes two to three hours for most chips. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, generally by the following day, the bath is ready to use.
What you’ll pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book.

Getting a price
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We’ll say straight away whether it can be repaired.
Local landmarks in City of Westminster
We visit homes around The St Marylebone CofE School, Devonshire Arms and LITE Regal International School. You’ll also find St Vincent's Catholic Primary School (under half a mile north), St Mark's (within half a mile south), Hyde Park (0.6 miles south-west) and Royal Society of Medicine Library (less than half a mile north-east). City of Westminster has its own railway station: Bond Street station. Other landmarks nearby include Fortius Clinic (less than half a mile north) and Westminster St James (0.8 miles south-east). Green spaces nearby include Serpentine and Primrose Hill.
Repairing versus replacing
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one normally means a plumber, removing the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair deals only with the damage in one visit.
What your quote should include
- How to look after the finish
- How your room will be protected
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Whether the price covers travel
Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
Landlord and trade work in W2
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
When a repair isn’t the answer
It helps to know what we can’t do:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
What affects the price in W2
Repairs from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- The material and finish
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many areas need work
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
Getting a price from photos
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A photo taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Details of any past repairs
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Questions from W2
Can you match an avocado or pink bath?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
Usually, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Do you come to W2?
We do. We send a technician to W2 for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
What areas do you cover?
Everywhere in the UK, W2 included. There is no extra charge for travel.
