Work for landlords and builders
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
Shower tray repair in Brentingby without replacing anything
The first thing we do is check the tray: if it flexes underfoot, the cause needs sorting before any repair, or the crack will come back. We’ll tell you if that is the case. If you’re dealing with damage from a refit or building work and chips on the edges, we can generally put it right, on stone resin, ceramic and acrylic alike.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Brentingby and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
What affects the price in Brentingby
Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Brentingby. The price reflects:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The type of damage
- How many areas need work
- The material and finish
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Send photos for a quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Natural light rather than flash
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- What it’s made of, if you know
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
What we do, step by step
Arrival times are agreed in advance. Once we’re there, the work takes a few hours, or most of the day to resurface the whole tray. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.
- We check the tray is firmly supported and find the cause of any crack.
- The damaged area, or the whole tray, is cleaned and prepared.
- Chips and cracks are filled, reinforced and sanded level.
- We match the colour, or refinish the full tray.
- Once cured, generally by the next day, you can use the shower.
How to prepare
- Open a window if you can
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
Getting a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.
Advice
Brentingby questions
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
How long before I can shower?
Typically the following day. We’ll confirm before we leave.
Can you replace the silicone at the same time?
Yes, if you’d like us to. After a repair is a good time to reseal.
Can you fix a cracked tray?
Generally, if the tray is firmly supported. The crack is reinforced, filled and refinished.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
Can you make an old tray look new?
Yes. Resurfacing gives a worn tray an even, clean finish.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Honest limits
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:
- Water damage to the floor beneath the tray
- Multiple cracks across the tray
- Plumbing leaks under the tray
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Ceramic
- Cast iron
- Stone resin
- Enamelled steel
- Acrylic
Repair or replace: which is better?
When the tray is firm and dry underneath, repair is the obvious choice. If the floor is damaged or the tray is badly cracked, replacement may make more sense. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Stone resin
Stone resin trays are rigid and slim. A flat, solid base is essential, and repairs are matched to the gel coat.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Do not use strong acids or bleach
- Use the extractor fan
- Rinse away soap after showering
- Don’t ignore a tray that flexes
Rinse the tray after use, use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, and keep an eye on the sealant so water cannot get underneath.
Act on split sealant early. Water gets behind and under the tray and can damage the floor below.
