Shower tray repair in Langland without replacing anything
We repair cracks, chips and scratches in stone resin, acrylic and ceramic trays, or resurface the entire tray if it’s worn. The tray stays in place, so the enclosure and tiles aren’t disturbed. Typical jobs include a damaged area around the waste and chips on the edges, on enamelled steel, acrylic and cast iron.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Common problems we fix in Langland
Trays fitted on timber floors can crack if the floor moves, especially if the tray wasn’t bedded properly. On solid floors, cracks typically point to an uneven base.
These are the problems we’re asked about most:
- A tray that looks tired however much you clean it
- Chipped corners or rims
- A tray that creaks or moves underfoot
- Scuffs and light scratches
Before booking anyone
- Who will actually do the work
- Aftercare advice
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
- If travel is included in the price
Why repair rather than replace?
Trays sit under the screen and tiles, so taking one out disturbs a lot. A repair keeps everything as it is. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Ceramic
Ceramic trays are hard and glossy. They chip and crack from impact, and the repair is polished to match the shine.
Looking after it afterwards
Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:
- Avoid strong descalers and bleach
- Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner
- Rinse away soap after showering
- Reseal when the silicone splits or turns black
Wait the full curing time before you shower. After that, mild cleaners and good ventilation are all it needs.
Stop using the shower if the tray is cracked. Water may be getting under the tray, and the damage below isn’t visible.

How we price shower tray repair
Repairs from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to Langland. The price comes down to:
- Access to the area
- How many areas need work
- How many items we do on one visit
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Quotes from your photos
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Any details about the material
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
If you are in Langland and want a price, the easiest route is photos: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

How the visit works
You don’t need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It typically takes a few hours, or most of a day for a full resurface, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we check the tray is solid and work out why any crack happened.
- Next we clean and prepare the tray.
- We fill and strengthen any chips or cracks and sand them smooth.
- We colour-match the repair, or spray a new finish across the whole tray.
- Once cured, generally by the following day, you can use the shower.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
Ask for a price
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
