Trusted shower tray repair in Link

What shower tray repair costs

Repairs from £95. We price every job individually. The main factors are:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You will see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Getting a price from pictures

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • One picture of the entire shower tray
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Where you are, by postcode

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole shower tray, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.

Link questions

When can I use the shower again?

Normally the following day. We’ll tell you the exact time when we finish.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Do the materials smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Can you price it without visiting?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Can a cracked shower tray be repaired?

Normally, if the tray is firmly supported. We reinforce the crack, fill it and refinish the surface.

Can you replace the silicone at the same time?

Yes. We can repair and reseal on the same visit.

What does shower tray repair cost?

Repairs from £95. We give a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your BS40 postcode.

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

Repairing versus replacing in Link

A new shower tray often means a new enclosure fitting, new tiling and new sealant. A repair leaves all of that untouched and costs far less. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

How it works

You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take a few hours, or most of a day for a full resurface, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We protect the floor and the enclosure.
  2. Old sealant is removed if it’s in the way.
  3. The tray is cleaned, keyed and repaired.
  4. The surface is refinished to match.
  5. We clean up and give you the curing time.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Ask for a price

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Advice

Keeping it looking good

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Keep harsh chemicals off the tray
  • Use the extractor fan
  • Keep heavy bottles on a shelf
  • Reseal when the silicone splits or turns black

Rinse the tray after use, use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, and keep the sealant in good condition so water cannot get underneath.

Stop using the shower if the tray is cracked. Water can get through to the floor and walls, and the damage below is not visible.

Honest limits

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Rotten or damaged flooring underneath
  • A tray that moves underfoot
  • Leaks from the waste or pipework (a plumber’s job)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Enamelled steel
  • Ceramic
  • Stone resin
  • Cast iron
  • Acrylic

Signs you need shower tray repair in Link

Rigid trays do not bend, they crack when they sit on an uneven or poorly supported floor. Timber floors that move can cause it too.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Snagging damage in a new bathroom
  • Edge chips from dropped bottles
  • A tray that flexes
  • Damage around the waste

What your quote should include

  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • Who turns up on the day
  • If travel is included in the price
