Sink repair in Valley without replacing anything
Antique and period basins are worth repairing, and we work around makers’ marks wherever possible. A like-for-like replacement can be hard to find. Whether it’s a crack near the taps and an antique basin with chips, we can normally put it right.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

Valley questions
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Do you cover the entire of Isle of Anglesey?
All of Isle of Anglesey, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
How much does sink repair cost in Valley?
Prices start from £95. We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item with your LL65 postcode.
Is a chipped basin repairable?
Yes. We fill the chip, colour-match it and polish it to the basin’s gloss.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
Can landlords book you?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders across Isle of Anglesey.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
How we price sink repair
Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:
- The material
- Access to the area
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How hard the colour is to match
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.
Getting a price from photos
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Any details about the material
- One picture of the whole basin
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Should you replace it?
Finding the same basin again isn’t always possible, especially in a matching suite. Repairing it keeps the suite together. Our sink repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

What we do, step by step
There is not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to a couple of hours for most chips.
- We protect the area around the basin.
- The damage is cleaned and prepared.
- We fill it and shape it to the basin’s curve.
- The colour is matched by hand.
- The repair is polished to the basin’s gloss and left to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
Getting a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the basin, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

- A crack that leaks right through the basin
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Aftercare tips
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Do not overtighten taps
- Repair chips before they stain
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Use mild cleaners only
Don’t rest hot hair tools or heavy bottles on the rim, to avoid new chips.
Chips collect dirt and stain over time, so the sooner it’s repaired, the better.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Vitreous china
Ceramic basins have a hard, glassy glaze. Matching that shine is the key to a good repair, so we finish the repair to the same sheen.
Composite and resin
Many vanity units have resin or composite basins. They repair well, and the colour is mixed to suit.
