Bath repair at your home in Valley
Chips, cracks, rust spots and small holes can be repaired with the bath left exactly where it is. Nothing is unplumbed, your tiles stay as they are, and the repaired area is colour matched so it blends in. Our repair technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and people most frequently call us about damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and a cracked acrylic bath.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
What we cannot put right
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
What happens on the day
Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we are doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. Allow two to three hours for most chips, and we will keep you posted as we go.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Advice
Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
For landlords and businesses
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Valley use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

What we are called out for in Valley
A bath gets knocked about more than you’d think: everyday items get dropped into it all the time, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Sooner or later, most baths pick up a chip.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Holes from dropped items
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

How to care for the repair
It’s all simple stuff:
- Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
A repaired bath needs no special treatment. Skip bleach and gritty creams and rinse after use.
Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through until it’s repaired. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
Repair or replace in Valley?
Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. Normally it does not: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, without the cost and upheaval of replacing it. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
