About our tile repair in Brinian

We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. If you are dealing with damaged tile edges and cracked floor tiles, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

When a repair is not the answer

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Marble
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Natural stone & granite
  • Porcelain tiles

Repairing versus replacing in Brinian

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why us?

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Brinian. The price comes down to:

  • How many areas need work
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What the surface is made of

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Send pictures for a quote

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any details about the material
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A photo taken from further back

Email us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in Brinian, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

How it works

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will get on with it. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, tidy-up included.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let us know about parking or access
