Tile repair at your home in Llanover

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will say so. The tile stays where it is, so you do not need to find a spare. Our repair technicians work on marble, ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles, and the jobs we see most are discontinued tiles you can’t replace and drill holes from removed fittings.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

What tile repair costs

Repairs from £95. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. What matters most is:

  • The material and finish
  • Access to the area
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How much damage there is

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your pictures

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A wider photo showing the whole tiled area
  • Where you are, by postcode

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why us?

  • Normally one visit, start to finish
  • One price list for the whole UK
  • Colour-matched on site
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

How it works

Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
