Tile repair at your home in Monmouth

We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will say so. If you’re dealing with chips from dropped pans and tools and cracked floor tiles, we can help, whatever the material.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will sort it. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Honest limits

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Ceramic tiles
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Marble
  • Porcelain tiles
  • Natural stone & granite

For landlords and businesses

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details and we will arrange it.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Choosing a repair company

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material
  • How many areas need work
  • What kind of damage it is

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

How to get a fixed quote

Phone photos are fine. Just make sure we can see:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

Should you replace it?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Our tile repair starts from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

The process

On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Common questions in Monmouth

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

Will the price change on the day?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Are there extra charges for Monmouth?

There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Can pets and children be at home?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

When can you do it?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
