Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. A repair leaves the tile where it is. Prices start from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

Tile repair at your home in Parc-Seymour

We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will tell you. We work on ceramic tiles, marble and natural stone & granite, and people most often call us about damaged tile edges and cracked floor tiles.

All our work comes with a one-year guarantee. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

How the visit works

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It normally takes a morning or an afternoon, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let us know about parking or access

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Parc-Seymour. The price reflects:

  • Access to the area
  • How much damage there is
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

FAQs for Parc-Seymour

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.

What happens if you find more damage?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Parc-Seymour.

Do you cover the entire of Monmouthshire?

Everywhere in the UK, Parc-Seymour included. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Do the materials smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
