Need tile repair in Tame Bridge?

About our tile repair in Tame Bridge

The tile stays where it is, so you don’t need to find a spare. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. Common call-outs are for chips from dropped pans and tools and discontinued tiles you can’t replace, across ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and marble.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.

Choosing a repair company

How the visit works

On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

What affects the price in Tame Bridge

Prices start from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Getting a price from pictures

Two or three clear pictures are generally enough. It helps if you send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Email us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Tame Bridge, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
