Tile repair in Westhay without replacing anything
A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will say so. The tile stays where it is, so you don’t need to find a spare. Our repair technicians work on marble, porcelain tiles and floor and wall tiles, and people most frequently call us about discontinued tiles you can’t replace and cracked floor tiles.
You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

What tile repair costs
Repairs from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:
- How many areas need work
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Doing more than one item at once
- The material
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Westhay. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Quotes from your photos
Phone photos are fine, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- Any details about the material
- One picture of the entire tiled area
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
Upload photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your BA6 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
FAQs for Westhay
Can you fill holes left by old fittings?
Yes. We fill drill holes from removed fittings.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Will the price change on the day?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there’s more, we will tell you before starting.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.
Can you quote from photos?
Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
Do you come to Westhay?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to Westhay and the rest of Somerset. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Are there extra charges for Westhay?
We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.
Common problems we fix in Westhay
Dropped pans and tools chip floor tiles, while walls end up with drill holes from old fittings. Movement underneath can also crack tiles.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Discontinued tiles you can’t replace
- Drill holes from removed fittings
- Chips from dropped pans and tools
- Cracked floor tiles
What your quote should include
- What happens if they find more damage
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- Who turns up on the day
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
What a repair can’t fix
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
- Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
- Whole walls of failing grout
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Surfaces we repair
- Marble
- Porcelain tiles
- Floor and wall tiles

The process
There is not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a few hours.
- First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
- Next we fill the damage.
- We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
- The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
- Finally we seal it to match the tile.
Before we arrive
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Make sure the area is dry
- Open a window if you can
