How we handle tile repair in Whitehouse
We repair the tile in place, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will tell you. Typical jobs include discontinued tiles you can’t replace and cracked floor tiles, on floor and wall tiles, ceramic tiles and marble.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Whitehouse as everywhere else we work. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Why Whitehouse clients choose us
- Every repair guaranteed for a year
- Most jobs done in one visit
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Nothing taken out or refitted

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
How it works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for a morning or an afternoon. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to look after it.
- First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
- The chip, crack or hole is filled.
- We shape the repair flush with the tile.
- The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
- We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.
Preparing for the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the tiled area, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- The colour and finish to match
- The material
- What kind of damage it is
- How many areas need work
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:
- A wider photo showing the entire tiled area
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Details of any past repairs
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

When can you do it?
