Toilet chip repair in Milborne Port, done in place
A crack that leaks can’t be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we’ll say so if we find one. Chips are rebuilt and colour matched to the glaze, so the toilet stays in place. Our technicians work on toilet pans, cisterns & lids and pedestals, and people most frequently call us about chips on the cistern lid and pieces knocked off during fitting.
All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee. Avoid dropping heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a toilet needs a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and the matching cistern may be discontinued. Repairing the chip keeps the toilet you have. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Milborne Port: your questions answered
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Can you repair a chipped toilet?
Yes. Chips to the pan, rim, cistern and lid are the most common jobs.
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
How quickly can you book me in?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we will quote them together.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
How it works
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to an hour or two.
- We clean and dry the damaged area.
- Next we rebuild the missing piece to its original shape.
- It’s sanded flush.
- We match the colour to the glaze.
- We polish the repair to blend it in.
Preparing for the visit
- Make sure the area is dry
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
Getting a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How many items we do on one visit
- What the surface is made of
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
How to get a fixed quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- The material, if you know it
- A wider photo showing the whole toilet
Email us a picture of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Milborne Port, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
