How we handle toilet chip repair in Three Holes

We rebuild the damaged area and match it to the glaze, so the toilet stays in place. A crack that leaks can’t be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we’ll tell you if that is what we find. If you are dealing with marks on the outside of the pan and damage from dropped items, we can help, whatever the material.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Take care with heavy items and clean the outside of the pan gently.

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Norfolk and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Questions from Three Holes

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Three Holes.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We come back with a fixed price, plus dates. There is no obligation to book.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.

Do you work in Three Holes?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Three Holes. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do I have to be there?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Why repair rather than replace?

A new toilet needs a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and the matching cistern may be discontinued. A repair leaves it in place. Prices start from £95. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

See our prices page.

How the visit works

We begin by going over the job with you. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. You can expect it to take an hour or two, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.

  1. First the damaged area is cleaned and dried.
  2. We fill and rebuild missing material to the original shape.
  3. It’s sanded flush.
  4. We match the colour to the glaze.
  5. We polish the repair to blend it in.

Preparing for the visit

  • Open a window if you can
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

When to call us in Three Holes

Most toilet chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted, or from a dropped lid or bottle. Cistern lids get chipped surprisingly often.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • Pieces knocked off during fitting
  • Marks on the outside of the pan
  • Damage from dropped items
  • Chips on the pan or rim

What your quote should include

  • How soon you can use it again
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • How changes to the job are handled

Our hiring checklist

How we price toilet chip repair

Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Three Holes. The price comes down to:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Access to the area
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Send photos for a quote

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • Any details about the material
  • One picture of the entire toilet
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.
