Toilet chip repair near Tonna

Work for landlords and builders

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Tonna use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Toilet chip repair in Tonna without replacing anything

We rebuild the damaged area and match it to the glaze, so you don’t need a plumber or a new toilet. A crack that leaks can’t be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we will tell you if that’s what we find. Common call-outs are for chips on the pan or rim and damage from dropped items, on pedestals, toilet pans and cisterns & lids.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Avoid dropping heavy items and clean the outside of the pan gently.

What a repair cannot fix

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

What affects the price in Tonna

Prices start from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:

  • Access to the area
  • The material
  • The type of damage
  • How much damage there is

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Send photos for a quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any details about the material

To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We’ll say right away if a repair is the right fix.

Should you replace it?

A new toilet needs a plumber and possibly new flooring, and the matching cistern may be discontinued. Repairing the chip keeps the toilet you have. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

What we do, step by step

On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes an hour or two. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We clean and dry the damaged area.
  2. We fill and rebuild missing material to the original shape.
  3. We sand it flush.
  4. The glaze is colour matched and finished.
  5. The repair is polished so it blends in.

Getting ready for the visit

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
