Book worktop repair in Canon's Marsh

What we do, step by step

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We assess the damage and the worktop material.
  2. The area is cleaned and the edges of the damage prepared.
  3. We fill the damage with a suitable filler and build up any lost edge.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. The surface is sealed or finished to suit the worktop.

About our worktop repair in Canon's Marsh

Worktops are expensive to replace and hard to match, especially in an L-shaped or long kitchen. Repairing the damage keeps your kitchen as it is. If you’re dealing with damage around the sink cut-out and scorch marks from pans, we can normally put it right, on solid wood, quartz and granite & marble alike.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

What affects the price in Canon's Marsh

Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:

  • The material
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Doing more than one item at once

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Quotes from your pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • The material, if you know it
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire worktop, we can price the job without visiting.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swollen or badly damaged laminate may need replacing. For chips, burns and scratches, repair is generally far better value. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Why book with us

  • No need to remove anything
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Colour-matched on site
  • A fixed quote before you book

Do you need worktop repair in Canon's Marsh?

Most worktop damage takes a second: a hot pan set straight down, or a heavy pan catching the edge. Scratches build up gradually from knives and grit.

Get in touch if you’ve noticed:

  • Damage to a stone worktop
  • Cuts and scratches in the surface
  • Damage from fitting or building work
  • Gouges in the surface

What your quote should include

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • If travel is included in the price
  • What prep work is covered
  • What protection goes down before work starts

Canon's Marsh questions

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

Do I need to clear the kitchen?

Only around the repair. The rest of the kitchen stays usable.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It fades as everything cures.

Will the repair match a patterned worktop?

Yes. We recreate the pattern by hand.

Honest limits

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Discolouration deep in quartz
  • Through cracks in stone that is moving
  • Water-swollen laminate

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Solid surface (such as Corian)
  • Quartz
  • Laminate
  • Solid wood
  • Granite & marble

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

Different materials, different repairs

Solid surface

Solid surface tops are the same material all the way through, so marks can often be sanded and refinished.

Granite and stone

Natural stone worktops chip at edges and around cut-outs. We fill and polish the repair to match the stone.
