Worktop repair in Garth Row, done in place
A damaged worktop doesn’t have to mean a new kitchen. The damage is filled and refinished to blend into the surface around it. Common call-outs are for chips on edges and corners and dents and gouges, in laminate, granite & marble and quartz.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

What we cannot put right
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:
- Failed support under the worktop

- Laminate swollen by water from underneath
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

What we do, step by step
On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We look at the damage and the worktop’s finish.
- We cut back any burnt or loose material.
- We fill and shape the damaged area.
- The pattern, flecks or grain are recreated.
- We finish it to match the sheen and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Let us know about parking or access
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
Getting a price

Advice
Should you replace it?
A new worktop means removing the old one, cutting and fitting a new one and refitting the sink and hob, and it may not match the rest of the kitchen. A repair keeps your existing worktop. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Can landlords book you?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.
Can you repair a chipped quartz worktop?

Aftercare tips
Simple care helps the repair last. Our advice:
- Use pH-neutral cleaners on stone
- Keep a trivet by the hob
- Dry around the sink and joints
- Keep wood oiled
Always use a trivet and chopping board, wipe spills straight away, and keep wooden tops oiled.
A burn or chip can get worse with daily use, especially near the sink. An earlier repair is a smaller repair.

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
What worktop repair costs
Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
- Access to the area
- How much damage there is
Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Send pictures for a quote
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- One picture of the entire worktop
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Where you are, by postcode
To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We will say right away if a repair is the right fix.
