Worktop repair in Landport, done in place
The hard part of a worktop repair is matching the pattern. Colour, flecks and veining are recreated by hand so the repair blends in. Our repair technicians work on solid surface (such as Corian), solid wood and quartz, and people most often call us about damage to a stone worktop and cuts and scratches in the surface.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

Landlord and trade work in Landport
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Landport questions
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Landport.
Can a scorch mark be fixed?
Often, yes. The burn is cut back, filled and patterned to match.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Just keep them out of the work area. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
Can you match the pattern on my worktop?
We match colour, flecks and veining by hand, so the repair blends into the surface.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
What your worktop is made of matters
Laminate
Laminate is a printed surface over a board. Chips and burns are filled and the pattern recreated by hand.
Wood
Wooden worktops can be sanded, filled and re-oiled, with burns and dents put right.
What worktop repair costs
Prices start from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:
- How many items we do on one visit
- What kind of damage it is
- The size and number of damaged areas
- What the surface is made of
We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Landport. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
Phone photos are fine. Just make sure we can see:
- A picture taken from further back
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Any details about the material
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We will say straight away whether it can be repaired.
Repair or replace in Landport?
Stone and quartz tops are templated and cut to fit, so replacing one section is a big job. A repair takes a few hours. Our worktop repair starts from £95. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
What you get with us
- Usually one visit, start to finish
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- One price list for the whole UK
- Straight answers about what a repair can do
See our prices page.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
The process
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take a few hours.
- We assess the damage and the worktop material.
- We clean the area and prepare the edges of the damage.
- We fill the damage with a suitable filler and build up any lost edge.
- We match the colour and pattern by hand.
- The surface is sealed or finished to suit the worktop.
Getting ready for the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Clear the area around the damage
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Get a quote
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire worktop, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
Advice
What else we do in Landport
What we are called out for in Landport
Sink and hob cut-outs are weak points, so cracks and chips frequently start there.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- Chips caused during installation
- Damage to a stone worktop
- A chipped edge
- Chips near the sink
What to look for in a quote
- How your room will be protected
- When it can be used again
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- What aftercare is recommended
How to care for the repair
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Steer clear of strong cleaners
- Watch the edges with heavy pans
- Keep a trivet by the hob
- Keep wood oiled
Leave the repaired area free of hot or heavy items until it has cured. After that, trivets and chopping boards protect it best.
A chip on an edge can grow, and water can reach the core of laminate. An early repair prevents it.
