What a repair cannot fix
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Deep heat discolouration in quartz, which may not fully disappear
- Through cracks in stone that is moving
- Water-swollen laminate
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Solid wood
- Quartz
- Solid surface (such as Corian)
- Granite & marble
- Laminate
Worktop repair in St Leonard's without replacing anything
Matching a pattern is the skilled part of a worktop repair. We build up the colour and flecks by hand. We are often asked to fix a chipped edge and knife marks, on laminate, granite & marble and quartz.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

What happens on the day
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. It normally takes a few hours, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

- We fill it and level it with the worktop.
- We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
- We seal and polish it to the right sheen.
Preparing for the visit

Looking after it afterwards
To keep it looking its best:
- Steer clear of strong cleaners
- Do not cut directly on the worktop
- Never put hot pans down directly
- Don’t knock pans against the edge
Never put hot pans straight onto the worktop. Heat can mark quartz and stone as well.
Edge chips can get bigger, and on laminate, water can get into the core. Repairing it early stops that.
Why repair rather than replace?
Swollen or badly damaged laminate may need replacing. For chips, burns and scratches, repair is normally far better value. Prices start from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.
Why book with us
- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- One price list for the whole UK
- Every repair guaranteed for a year

St Leonard's questions
Do you cover St Leonard's?
We do. We send a technician to St Leonard's for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
What do you need from me?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Can you match the pattern on my worktop?
Yes, the pattern is built up by hand.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
What worktop repair costs
Repairs from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Access to the area
- How many areas need work
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.
Getting a price from pictures
Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:
- Details of any past repairs
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
