Worktop Repair for The Lunt homes
Worktop repair across The Lunt and nearby, done in a single visit in most cases and guaranteed for a year.
- Repairs from £95
- Damage around the sink cut-out
- Dents and gouges

Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
About our worktop repair in The Lunt
A worktop repair is carried out in your kitchen, with the rest of the kitchen protected. Most jobs take a few hours, and the worktop can be used again soon after. We regularly repair laminate, granite & marble and solid surface (such as Corian), and people most often call us about damage around the sink cut-out and chips caused during installation.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

How the visit works
We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a morning or an afternoon. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- First we look at the damage and what the worktop is made of.
- We clean the area and prepare the edges of the damage.
- We fill with a filler suited to the material and rebuild any missing edge.
- We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
- The surface is sealed or finished to suit the worktop.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Solid surface
Solid surface tops are the same material all the way through, so marks can often be sanded and refinished.
Quartz
Quartz is crushed stone bound with resin. We fill and polish chipped edges.

Cut-outs for the sink and hob are the weakest parts, so cracks and chips frequently start there.

Keeping it looking good
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Clean spills immediately
- Always use a trivet for hot pans
- Oil wooden tops regularly
- Steer clear of strong cleaners
Always use a trivet and chopping board, wipe up spills promptly, and re-oil wooden worktops regularly.
Don’t leave damage by the sink, as water can get in and cause swelling.
Should you replace it?
Stone and quartz tops are templated and cut to fit, so replacing one section is a big job. A repair takes a few hours. Our worktop repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
