Bath Re-enamelling for Barnes homes
Our repair technicians come to Barnes for full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing. Nothing is taken out, and the work is guaranteed.
- Resurfacing from £350
- An old resurfacing that’s failing
- Several chips and rust patches

What bath re-enamelling costs
Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. This is what makes a difference:
- What the surface is made of
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How much damage there is
- Doing more than one item at once
Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.
Send photos for a quote
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Where you are, by postcode
- Details of any past repairs
Upload a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your SW13 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
Bath re-enamelling in Barnes without replacing anything
Resurfacing renews the whole surface of the bath without a refit. It suits baths that are dull, stained, rough or chipped all over. Whether it’s thin, worn enamel in places and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it, we can help, whatever the material.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit.

When a repair isn’t the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs won’t solve:
- A bath that’s rusted through
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.
Materials we repair
- Victorian roll-tops
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and generally a day, and the bath is usable the day after. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
What you get with us
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- Fixed prices from your photos
- Work done at your home or business
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited

Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Do not leave a chip unrepaired
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, so limescale cannot build up.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, don’t pick at it. Water gets under it and the damage spreads, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
Common questions in Barnes
Is there a smell?
Yes, while we are applying the finish. We set up ventilation and the smell fades as it cures.
Is it messy?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

What we do, step by step
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take the best part of a day, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
Ask for a price

For landlords and businesses
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
When to call us in Barnes
Once enamel loses its gloss, it stains more easily, and cleaning harder only makes it worse. That’s the point where re-enamelling makes sense.
Customers typically contact us about:
- Worn patches where water runs and sits
- Enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough
- A coloured bath you want in white
- Stains that won’t shift
Comparing quotes
- What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
- How the colour is matched
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
