Bath re-enamelling in Binsted, done in place
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. Whether it’s a peeling or bubbling previous coating and staining under the taps and around the waste, we can help, on basins & shower trays, pressed steel baths and Victorian roll-tops alike.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

Landlord and trade work in Binsted
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Hampshire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and days without a bathroom. Resurfacing gives the bath a new finish without moving it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why us?

Looking after it afterwards
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Never use suction bath mats
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Respect the curing time we give you
Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, so limescale cannot build up.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.
Do you need bath re-enamelling in Binsted?
Once enamel loses its gloss, it stains more easily, and scrubbing it wears it down further. At that stage, resurfacing is the fix.
Look out for any of the following:
- Chips and rust in more than one place
- Wear marks under the taps
- A bath in a colour that no longer suits
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean

Binsted questions
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Is the work guaranteed?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.
Does re-enamelling smell?
There is some smell while the coating is applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as the coating cures.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
Can you quote from photos?
In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
How quickly can you book me in?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

What affects the price in Binsted
Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Binsted. The price depends on:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The colour and finish to match
- The material and finish
- The type of damage
Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Getting a price from photos
Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Any details about the material
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
