Need bath re-enamelling in Black Pole?

Keeping it looking good

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs straight away
  • Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
  • Fix dripping taps quickly

A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, especially in hard water areas, to stop limescale building up.

On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.

Bath re-enamelling in Black Pole, done in place

We clean, repair and prime the bath before spraying the new finish. The preparation is what makes it last, and we take our time over it. Our repair technicians work on Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and basins & shower trays, and people most frequently call us about staining under the taps and around the waste and worn patches where water runs and sits.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

FAQs for Black Pole

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the entire UK, including Black Pole and the rest of Lancashire. Just include your postcode and we’ll confirm dates.

Will the new finish last?

A well-prepared finish lasts a long time if it’s looked after. Avoid abrasive cleaners and suction mats.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?

In most cases. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.

Can pets and children be at home?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

How it works

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes most of the day. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
  3. The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

How to prepare

Advice

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Cast iron

Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

When to call us in Black Pole

Enamel wears gradually. Years of cleaning, hard water and hot baths dull the surface, starting where water runs and sits.

Clients usually contact us about:

  • Worn patches where water runs and sits
  • An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
  • A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean
  • Brown or grey marks that do not clean off

What to look for in a quote

  • If travel is included in the price
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What preparation is included
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers

How to compare quotes

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Black Pole use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

What a repair can’t fix

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through
  • Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
  • Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Basins & shower trays
  • Cast iron baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops

Should you replace it?

If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, resurfacing is the simplest answer. Nothing else is disturbed. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why Black Pole customers choose us

  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Same prices wherever you are

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
