Bath re-enamelling for Breach homes

Common questions in Breach

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.

Do you cover the entire of Kent?

Across the UK, so Breach is covered. Prices do not change with location.

Can you fix a peeling bath coating?

Yes. Removing the old finish takes extra time, which we include in the price.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

What does bath re-enamelling cost?

Resurfacing from £350. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Can you change the colour of my bath?

Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.

Bath re-enamelling in Breach without replacing anything

Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. Typical jobs include stains that won’t shift and a coloured bath you want in white, across basins & shower trays, pressed steel baths and acrylic baths.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Aftercare tips

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Get any chip repaired quickly
  • Store bottles off the bath
  • Don’t let dyes or oils sit on the finish

Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, so limescale can’t build up.

Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface.

How the visit works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes the best part of a day. If anything looks different from your photos, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.

  1. The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Breach. The price depends on:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • How much damage there is
  • What kind of damage it is
  • What the surface is made of

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Where you are, by postcode

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed price the same day in most cases.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Breach

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Kent and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

DIY kit or professional repair?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a bath normally involves a plumber, a fitter and a tiler. Re-enamelling takes one technician and usually one day, and the bath can be used the day after. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • One visit for most repairs

See our full price list and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We will not take on work that won’t last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
  • A metal bath with a through crack
  • Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Common problems we fix in Breach

  • Several chips and rust patches
  • Stains that will not shift
  • Wear marks under the taps
  • An outdated colour you’d like to change
