Bath re-enamelling in Canewdon without replacing anything
After cleaning, repairing and priming, we spray on the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, and we take our time over it. Our repair technicians work on acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and pressed steel baths, and people most frequently call us about a coating lifting around the plughole and staining under the taps and around the waste.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Canewdon and across Essex.

Canewdon: your questions answered
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Prices start from £350. We give a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item with your SS4 postcode.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
What information do you need?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- Doing more than one item at once
- What kind of damage it is

The process
We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a full day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
Getting ready for the visit

- Keep a parking space free if you can

Related advice
How to care for the repair
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners
- Never use suction bath mats
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs straight away
- Get any chip repaired quickly
A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, particularly where water is hard, to stop limescale building up.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface.
Repairs by material
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
