Bath Re-enamelling for Clackmannan homes
Full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing for householders, landlords and businesses in Clackmannan. Free, fixed quotes from your pictures.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Several chips and rust patches
- An old resurfacing that is failing

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Bath re-enamelling in Clackmannan without replacing anything
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. If you’re dealing with several chips and rust patches and a period or roll-top bath worth keeping, we can help, on cast iron baths, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays alike.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

Looking after it afterwards
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Repair dripping taps promptly.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It just wears the enamel further and makes resurfacing more work.
Do you need bath re-enamelling in Clackmannan?
Sometimes it’s an earlier resurfacing that has failed, lifting by the plughole or blistering. Failing coatings are stripped back before we resurface.
Keep an eye out for these signs:
- An outdated colour you’d like to change
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
- Worn patches where water runs and sits

Repair or replace: which is better?
For a sound bath, resurfacing costs far less than replacement, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s much quicker too. Prices start from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
What you get with us
- Everything repaired in place
- Most jobs done in one visit
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish

What we do, step by step
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a full day. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the bath is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
Ask for a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Advice
Questions from Clackmannan
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes, most people go for white. Mention the colour you want when you send pictures.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
Will there be fumes?
Some odour is normal while we spray, which is why we ventilate the bathroom. It clears as the finish cures.
Does the bath have to be removed?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so nothing else is disturbed.
Can you price it without visiting?
Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Do you come to Clackmannan?
We do. Repair technicians travel to Clackmannan from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
Can a failed resurfacing be redone?
Yes, we do this regularly. Stripping the old coating adds time, so it’s reflected in the quote.
When can you do it?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we check it carefully.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Access to the area
- How many items we do on one visit
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Quotes from your photos
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A photo taken from further back
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Natural light rather than flash
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- Steel that has corroded right through
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Victorian roll-tops
