About our bath re-enamelling in Coad's Green
Most baths are re-enamelled in a day, and you can use the bath the day after. Taps, tiles, panels and plumbing all stay in place. Typical jobs include a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and an outdated colour you’d like to change, in pressed steel baths, basins & shower trays and Victorian roll-tops.
You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
When a repair is not the answer
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- A bath split right through the body
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, making good the walls and tiles and days without a bathroom. Re-enamelling renews the whole surface without moving it. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

Aftercare tips
Aftercare is simple:
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Store bottles off the bath
- Have chips seen to early
- Never use suction bath mats
Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners, do not use suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
What happens on the day
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a full day. If anything looks different from your photos, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the bath is ready.
How to prepare
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Open a window if you can

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The material and finish
- What kind of damage it is
A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.
Quotes from your photos
You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
