Bath Re-enamelling for Dewartown homes
Bath re-enamelling in and around Dewartown: a fixed quote from photos, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Thin, worn enamel in places
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it

DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
About our bath re-enamelling in Dewartown
Re-enamelling is a one-day job for most baths, with the bath ready to use the following day. Taps, tiles, panels and plumbing all stay in place. Whether it’s worn patches where water runs and sits and a bath in a colour that no longer suits, we can help, whatever the material.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee.

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Dewartown
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Is there a smell?
Yes, while we’re applying the finish. We set up ventilation and the smell fades as it cures.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
In most cases. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Mention it when you send pictures.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Do you charge for travel?
There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Will the price change on the day?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
How long does re-enamelling last?
It depends on preparation, use and care. Properly prepared and looked after, it lasts well, and our work is guaranteed for a year.
Repair or replace in Dewartown?
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is normally much cheaper than replacing it, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s much quicker too. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

When we’d advise against a repair
It helps to know what we can’t do too:
- Holes rusted through the metal
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
Repairs by material
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- The colour and finish to match
- The size and number of damaged areas
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.
Quotes from your photos
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The material, if you know it
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

How it works
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to most of the day, tidy-up included.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
How to prepare
- Let us know about parking or access
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Ensure the room can be ventilated

How to look after the repair
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs immediately
- Never use suction bath mats
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
Treat the new finish gently at first: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. From then on, avoid abrasives and suction mats.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
